Maureen Sullivan
Accounting

Maureen's journey from the West Coast to the heart of Kentucky's equine industry is a testament to her adaptability and determination. Starting with a vet tech internship at Hagyard Equine, she quickly established herself within the equestrian community. However, recognizing the need to diversify her skills, she transitioned into the realm of financial management, founding her own bookkeeping firm in 2014 to serve the specialized needs of equine-related businesses.

The loss of her beloved horse Coogan in 2020 prompted a period of reflection, leading Maureen to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Embracing a nomadic lifestyle, she combined her expertise in bookkeeping with pet sitting, leveraging her skills to sustain her travels while indulging her love for animals.

At East-West, Maureen plays a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency, overseeing critical financial tasks such as payroll. Her meticulous attention to detail and strategic acumen ensure the smooth functioning of the organization, earning her the trust and respect of colleagues.

Despite her professional prowess, Maureen remains approachable and personable, fostering a collaborative and harmonious work environment. Her blend of business savvy and compassionate spirit makes her an invaluable asset to the team, embodying the ethos of dedication and excellence that defines East-West.
