Dr. Peters is a distinguished figure in the field of equine health, particularly renowned for his expertise in locomotor pathology, diagnosis, and treatment, aimed at optimizing sport horse performance. As a licensed Federation Equestrian Internationale (FEI) Veterinary Delegate, he holds authority in multiple disciplines, being FEI certified in dressage, eventing, jumping, driving, vaulting, and reining. This breadth of certification underscores his comprehensive understanding of equine sports medicine across various disciplines.

With a wealth of experience, Dr. Peters has held notable positions in academia and clinical practice. He served as the Director of the Clinical Equine Sports Medicine Program and as an associate professor of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, he made significant contributions during his tenure at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute as the Director of the Sport Horse Division. His involvement in developing Pioneer Equine in Oakdale, CA, further solidifies his influence in advancing equine health and performance.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Peters is deeply engaged in assisting clients with managing their sport horse programs.
